Method, sources and content policy

AI's Funniest Home Videos is a weekly leaderboard of funny AI videos, plus an AI-in-politics log, an AI influencer directory and a creator-tool price list. Every number on the site was fetched from a public page or official API and carries its date. Last checked Nov 4, 2026.

How the Top 10 is ranked

We pick clips from the current trend window, using trend coverage such as NBC News and trend round-ups as leads, then check that the original public post exists.
Each week scripts/refresh_stats.py reads view and like counts from TikTok's and YouTube's public video pages (no login). X counts come from the official X API (impressions). Instagram and Reddit counts are not used.
The Top 10 is simply the ten eligible clips with the most fetched views. Upvotes are a fun extra stored only in your browser; they don't change the ranking.
If a count can't be fetched, we keep the last value and mark it stale.

Embeds and credit

We use only official embeds (TikTok's player, YouTube's privacy-enhanced player) loaded when you press play, or plain links to the original post. We never download, re-upload or crop anyone's video. Every clip names its creator and links the original.

Content policy

Family-friendly: no NSFW or adult content and no adult-platform personas.
No cruelty: nothing that humiliates or harasses real people. We dropped a trending clip that put a real journalist's likeness into an AI meme.
No deepfakes of real people presented as real. AI-generated clips carry a visible “AI-generated” label.
Politics is nonpartisan and balanced across parties and countries. We include only clearly-labeled satire/parody or genuine AI-in-politics fails (chatbots botching election facts, AI campaign-ad blunders, AI robocall incidents, AI candidates) covered by reputable outlets or official records.
Never in politics: realistic deepfakes of real politicians presented as real, election misinformation, or anything that could mislead voters. Where an incident involved a deepfake (the 2024 New Hampshire robocall), we link the regulator's record, not the audio.
Every politics entry has a visible label and a source link, and politics entries are link-outs only.

Current politics balance: 8 items. By country: United States 3, United Kingdom 2, Albania 1, Denmark 1, Germany / Switzerland 1. They include a Republican campaign video, a robocall aimed at Democratic primary voters, a Labour MP, an independent candidate, a governing cabinet, a fringe art party and two nonpartisan chatbot studies.

What Unknown means

We couldn't confirm a value on a page we could read without logging in. Unknown is never a No. Instagram hides follower counts from logged-out visitors, so we cite a dated third-party ranking and mark it Partial.

How this differs from other sites

Slopcore Bangers: Community-voted AI video charts (weekly, all-time, trending) with server-side votes. No sources, counts dated by us, or content policy.
r/aivideo: The biggest AI video community. Great discovery, but unranked, unsourced and mixed-safety.
The Last Ten Minutes: AI fails: An 18+ AI comedy club. Not family-friendly.
Jump On The Trend: Monthly AI trend explainers that sell templates. We use it as a lead source only.
Crazy Frog AI / SlapClip trend pages: Single-trend explainers selling generators. Lead sources only.

We rank by real, dated view counts, credit and link every creator, publish a content policy, separate politics with labels and sources, and add a sourced AI-influencer directory and creator-tool prices.

Excluded tools

Glambase: Its public homepage features sexualized AI personas, which breaks our family-friendly policy. Not listed.

Fanvue appears on the tools page for context only. It is an 18+ creator-subscription platform, and we don't link any persona's Fanvue page.

Takedowns and corrections

If you made a clip and want it removed, or a fact is out of date, subscribe to the newsletter and reply to any issue with the link. We remove clips on request.

Refresh

Weekly: python3 scripts/refresh_stats.py && python3 data/build_data.py && python3 scripts/gen_updates.py && python3 build.py, then deploy.

Affiliate and sponsor disclosure

Some tool links may become affiliate links, and one weekly sponsor slot is sold (see Advertise). Neither changes the ranking, which comes only from fetched view counts.
